| A Pack of Playing Cards, a 4D Lottery Ticket and a Thank You Note |
This was a wedding that I attended at the beginning of 2010. It was interesting to receive such a door gift at a Chinese wedding dinner. The combination of the items and the occasion made the gift interesting. They reflected the appreciation, humour, creativity and conscientiousness of the hosts. They were fun and unconventional unlike the chocolates and bears. They were also suitable for all genders and different age groups. However, were the hosts trying to tell the guests that marriage is a gamble? Maybe, they were all just in the name of fun.
